Free Presentations Worth Your Time

I know some of you are wondering what my ulterior motive could be for offering 20 minute sessions on marketing and publicity for small business for free this week. I know you’re probably trying to talk yourself out of coming to these sessions.

After all, if it’s free, how good can it be?

As a small business owner, you’ve spent enough time on free calls that have ranged from completely boring and irrelevant  to  total hype jobs for a product or service so far out of your price range that you have to hold back the gasp at the unveiling at the end of the call. Then there are that whole class of calls that only lead to a network marketing pitch that deliver much bluster and little calls.

Yeah, I’ve sat through those same calls too.  It  took entirely too long for me to learn that I could hang up before the end of a call without being considered rude.  So I sat through more than my share of bad calls.

But I’ve also been on brilliant ones that have helped me gain new insights and new tools that I could use to build a portion of my business.

My goal is to be one of the brilliant ones.

But I am not there yet.

To be honest – the delivery may be a bit rough at times. You see, I am just starting to speak publicly again after a long absence. I haven’t mastered quite how the words will work best to get the audience to get as excited as I am about their marketing and publicity and the possibilities that can be opened up with low cost initiatives, especially co-operative efforts.

You see, when I delivered a live presentation two weeks ago, I blew it. My mind got distracted and I lost every thought in my head. I was mortified. That has never happened to me in front of an audience before. And I knew I had to do

But speaking is vital to the spreading of my dream. So I have to get better at it. And there is no better way for me to get better at it than by doing it. I’ve been in business long enough to know that.

So I’m sharing what I know in live presentations so I can smooth out the delivery on topics I know intimately.

You’ll get solid information that you can apply to your business from each session.

Yes, I hope you’ll want more information or that you’ll be awed by my depth of knowledge and want to buy my services. I love what I do and seldom turn down an opportunity to do it! So I won’t lie and say I wouldn’t be thrilled if some who come to the calls do become clients.

But that’s just gravy when compared to the  real purpose of these sessions which is to get me further on my journey to my dream. It’s all about being able to share Community Connected Commerce ideas with business organizations who can put them to work for their memberships. And these programs are all based on  the marketing, publicity and customer loyalty tips and hints I’ll be sharing over the next three days in the presentations.

I understand if you don’t have the time this week. I originally only intended to open these chats to my newsletter subscribers. So I didn’t get started with marketing it publicly until later than I would advise clients to.
