I used to keep my ideas in a draft list of prospective post titles. And sometimes add a few dot points until I got around to actually writing the post. An extension on your cluster idea is to take a post that has been popular and attracts some good traffic. Then make that the centre of your cluster. Great article. i like the blog bank idea. Personally, I use Google Calendar and try to set up my editorial calendar weekly. I have several different gigs, blogs and columns so that really helps me stay organized.
