How The Small Business Referral Network Has Helped Me

I have been a member of the Small Business Referral Network for roughly 7 months now if you count the 4 months that I sat in on chats until I could afford to become a member. I want to share with you some of the benefits that I have received since becoming a member.

First off I want to share with you the stat factor. This month so far I have gotten 18 hits from visitors who have come to my site by way of chat’s, the market, and the Small Business Referral Network home page itself. 7 of those hits have come from a joint venture with PK Marketing Solutions who was a member of the network up until recently.Last month I got 11 hits from my involvements with the SBRN. 8 hits were from the chats, 1 from my profile,1 from PK Marketing Solutions  and 1 hit from the market. Those are 29 unique hits that I wouldn’t have had before had I not took the leap to try something different and join this network.

These ladies have been so supportive of me and what I have to offer their network. I have chat’s every week where I share Web 2.0 strategies for building business, I also have a group Web 2.0 with Joe over on the HomeBasedPreneurs site.

Nanc Johnson is the owner of the SBRN and she has just been fantastic to me. She supports me by allowing me to within reason do what I need to do to get the word out about my site.

Now of course this form of networking may not be for everyone, but I am a chatty person so networking style chats work for me. There are plenty of chats during the week to get involved in, at least one or two every day of the week.

If you are looking for a way to get your name out there and are a home business owner or small business owner than I encourage you to try this networking style out for at least three months. One month isn’t long enough to really get going here you have to give it time to build trust in the network. Once you build trust in the network then the things I mentioned above will start happening for you once you prove you have something to bring to the table. Yes you do have to prove yourself kind of like paying your dues if you will. It is like everything else you just can’t pop in and say”HI I am here listen to me”

And no I am not getting paid to endorse them in anyway. I just wanted to show you how getting active in a networking community online can help you grow your business.
